While the characters are “new adults” (Lake is eighteen and Will is in his early twenties), I don’t know anyone who read it and didn’t absolutely go crazy for it, because anyone and everyone will connect to these wonderful, heartfelt and very real characters.
Deep personal (and realistic) conflict, an intense romantic connection, a few sticky situations, a profound “family feel”… it had everything for me to consider it the perfect books. I couldn’t believe my LUCK when I read Slammed. One of my favorite books ever (well, two, actually, because they are both equally amazing reads).
